Still at least you got to talk to a chat line

As a point of interest ya.com is now owned by France Telecom/Orange.....so let's see Telefonica try and block these guys!

Hold on... was not Wanadoo taken over by Orange? If so lets hope the customer service experience has moved on a bit, as they were one of the worse suppliers of Internet access in the whole of Europe.

But the likes of the serious companies like Demon, Bulldog, Pipex etc who are not catering for the mongs....no!

Most if not all UK ISP'S have a limit or at the very least a FUP (fair use policy) Demon have a specific limit you can use a month, as do Pipex and since bulldog got bought out I believe they do also.

In fact one of the only decent ISP'S in the UK now is "BE There" who have a FUP but have never enforced it yet. Not sure how long they will last since they have been bought out by o2 now.

The days of unmetered and unblocked (ie not blocking specific ports thus disabling things like P2P software) are well and truly gone in the uk!

It's also been in the press the last couple of days that recent EU president allows ISP's to ban specific urls (ie Torrent sites etc)

PS: I win! :)

It appears that Telefonica didn't want to get into it with yacom and released the line immediately.
So I've now moved my system into a good friend of mine's office in town and I'm working out of here until yacom switch the line on.
