Technical Question for any bikers out there.
This question has often occurred to me whilst observing Spanish mopeds/scooters/motorcycles outside my window.
When a Spanish two wheeled motorised form of transport is stationary at a road junction. What sudden catastrophic failure would occur if the engine was not continuously revved high enough to get the valves bouncing??:curse:
If the revs fall below 4,000 rpm for more than half a second, does the machine explode! like that bus in the film "Speed"?
Can these two wheeled things actually tick over, or would the engine cut out, never to re start if you let go of the throttle?
Or is it, as I suspect a simple wiring fault in the riders brain?:curse:
Answers on a postcard please

Thus people have got so used to this practice so it's common to sit there revving the thing to kingdom come and back waiting to pull away.. Annoying I know! :curse:
