Default taking my rabbit to spain

Hi,
No it's not a joke, does anyone know what i have to do to bring my rabbit from the uk to spain please.

I know to my family here in the uk it's only a rabbit but to me she is my baby and i do not know what to do?

The vet laughed when i rang up to ask what i needed to do so i thought i would come on here and ask.

All help would be appreciated

Well most of the passport regulations for animals help you mostly if you want to bring your pet back into the UK afterwards from Spain. Its very seldom apparantly that any checks are done going into Spain. So, not wishing to get on to a touchy subject, how long does a Rabbit live? Are you likely to be taking it back? If you go for the full pet passport, with injections it will cost you about £180.00

The following should help, it starts off by discussing the issues of taking a rabbit into the UK but if you read on it also gives some useful info about other parts of europe too.

Only a true animal lover will understand you. Dont panic and dont listen to unsympathetic morons. You will find a way. The Vet shoudnt be practicing: just like doctors in the uk he probably qualified by his shoe straps!! Unfortunately I cant help but I know how you feel.

My daughter transported her rabbit and Guinea pig from Spain to Manchester and it cost about 300€. If you are driving yourself it will be a lot cheaper.
They are classed as vermin so you dont need passports, jabs or any paperwork except a vets good health certificate.
It is bad luck to take a rabbit on a boat, so i reckon they would go through the tunnel

Talking about pets in Spain - there are 3 types that need to be microchipped by law.

Cats, dogs and - ?
