Re: Taking a dog on holiday
Taking them to Spain for a holiday pretty much nothing, get in your car and drive. The problem is getting them back into the UK again.
They have to have the pet passport which includes micro chipping, rabies, flea and tick etc etc etc, the rabies is the main one as it requires a blood test about a month after the injection, the results can take up to 6 weeks to come back and then it is a 6month wait untill the dog can travel freely. Talk to your vet and refer to the DEFRA website regarding pet travel. There is a similar post regarding dogs on the go so it may be worth having a quick look at that. either way your pretty much looking at the middle of next yr before your dog can go anywhere
