Support for UK Nationals - now extended
Latest from UK Embassy Madrid -
FOR INFORMATION:
As you will be aware, the UK Government has funded three organisations in Spain to provide practical support for UK Nationals who are having difficulty applying for residency.

But as long as you can prove you were living here legally before the 31st December you will have another 6 months to apply.
What will happen is the ability to exchange driving licences (although that's supposed to have been extended to 31st Jan 2021) or you have to take a test.

No excuse.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, when was the vote again?
Those who have lived here illegally for years, and in the process taking money straight out of my pocket, who are now panicking I have no sympathy with. Those who have brought plans forward have to deal with it.
Why should public money be spent to assist these people with their lifestyle choice? Nobody helped me!
Eh?

The withdrawal agreement doesn't end in two weeks? The transition period does. Protection under the withdrawal agreement continues to protect those legally resident in the EU prior to end of the end of the transition period including those in the process of obtaining residency. Saying that the Withdrawal Agreement ends in 2 weeks is very misleading.

Whatever, I can't see that it's "too little, too late".
Pandering to the feckless more like.

WA has no end date, where as TP ends in 10 days.
