Default flights in Jan/Feb from Alicante

Anyone have an idea on availability of direct flights to UK in Jan/Feb 2021?Last Saturday I was in Benidorm & it was so empty of British tourists I couldn“t believe it.I want to get to Edinburgh or Glasgow as I shall have completed on the sale of my apartment at the end of Jan.The flights from Ryanair went off OK last week according to what is on the internet .But if there are no visitors wanting to return except directly after New Year,I may be stuck for some time as cancellations for flights just now being advertised are likely to be cancelled. If I booked for one the PLC would be no good either?

As of tomorrow all people arriving from uk ( not Spanish nationals or residents) will be prevented from entering Spain
I imagine there wont be many flights leaving Spain as there will be no one to return from UK.

I was thinking of visitors who came to Spain for Xmas or to visit their holiday home who want to return at that time.

They will probably get stranded. We have a friend who was in Tenerife when they locked down in March. He had 11 flights cancelled and finally got back in July.

If flights to UK are still grounded and you are really desperate to return to UK, you might be able to fly to Ireland then get a ferry from NI to Scotland.
