Spring flowers
The spring flowers here are starting to show a little. The wild white narcissi are fading, the yellow vinegretas (the stem tastes of vinegar) are still going strong (they give an amazing show for months) and fighting for dominance with the blue periwinkle, the ghost lillies (god knows what they are called, but they give a sort of ectoplasmic haze with their spray of small flowers) are coming on strong. There are flields of small white flowers, a blue flowering tall plant in abundance and along the roadside are small signs of the rest of the flower display to come.
Spring is deffo on the way.

(mind you, I'm wondering if the spasmodic areas of white in the roadside fields might be the narcissi you mention - seem a bit too short but given I've not stopped to check - !)

The lillies are a bit insignificant on their own, but it's a kind of haze when there's a lot of them.

Starting to see snowdrops, crocuses and even the odd daffodil blooming here in London. Won't be long before the local cherry blossom comes out - now that is spectacular!

Re: Spring flowers
my favorite flower in the whole world is the snowdrop...................I just think it signifies strength and determination when something so tiny pushes its way through the frozen ground to stand in defiance against the elements

Snowdrops and crocuses here in Yorkshire as well. Noticed the forsythia is starting to blossom too.

Re: Spring flowers
It's too hot for the snowdrops and crocuses here, it was +25C today, the daffodils have been flowering well though.

The jasmine hedge is coming out so the orange orchard will smell like the perfume counter at Boots until it's time for the orange blossom.
