working here - both

but dh is probably going to start working away/abroad again cos we can't make enough here at the moment

Could be wrong but IÂ´ve always taken it to mean darling husband or dd, darling daughter. lynnxa will tell us.

dh is darling/dear husband

dd darling/dear daughter etc.

my dh is also often known as HWIUI - he who is usually ignored - he lives in a house surrounded by females - me, 2dds, 2 female cats & a female terrapin!

we did have a male canary but he literally fell off his perch & died of fright during the gota fria last year!
