they have a whole section in the Canada forum called 'Canniversary!', so I thought we could at least have a thread:D


our Spanniversary was last Friday 7th November


we've now lived here 5 years!!

my younger dd has lived in Spain for more than half her life


what about you?

when is your Spanniversary, and how many years will it be?

Arrived 12th September 2003 with our 3 year old! Completed house purchase end of Jan 2004, Number 2 son born in Valencia Hospital June 2004 and Daughter born Valencia Oct 2008!!

Bought house in April 2004
Arrived on 3 Sept 2006 complete with Luton Van of furniture
Returned to UK almost immediately and came back again early October with the car

Wanted to join you with a :D or at least a :) but.... bought house July 1st 2005:thumbsup:; son & I moved over permanently Sept 2006:thumbsup: however WE (OH, son & I) have NO Spanniversary :thumbdown: (yet?) because he's still busy busy doing business in the UK.:frown:Hmmph.:(:(:(:(

my OH hasn't had as many as me & my girls either!

for the first 3 years or so he was away as much as here, so I suppose he's almost at his second Spanniversary now (about next March I think)

and it looks like he's going to have to start bouncing around again, so he may not even get to the second one!

Been there 7-8-9 times or more , since 2003 , about ;
Costa Brava , Barcelona , Girona , Figueres all around , Costa del Sol , Malaga - Nerja to Mijas , Marbella-Puerto Banus and to Gibraltar and back ;
couldn't psyche myself into liking anything about any of the overbuilt , raped places ,
( except for , maybe : Cadaques ? ) ;
so , that's about that , for now ,
unless there were better financial incentives involved , anyway ,

Good question;) I'm housewife with other half a business/funds in UK, so not really either, neither of us retirement age. nb as I type I doubt we'll make it to 1:mad::mad::mad:
