hi folks, question for skype users
can you use skype with an internet dongle? have got my orange internet everywhere running (yay) but cant find any info whether its possible to use skype through the connection?

No problem as long as your upload speed is good enough (download shouldn't be a problem). We have used Skype for a year like this (on a Vodafone dongle) with no problem until the last week or so when the system has for some reason become slow and unreliable.

make sure your network type is set to wcdma only. If it drops to the gprs signal the connection will be terrible and video calls are almost impossible. Voice only calls are very difficult on gprs. You can find the settings in the tools menu then select options then network and network type. From the dro[p down menu select wcdma only.

jimenato I had a similar problem with an orange dongle and the above solution cured it.
