Services, 4, 4, 12402 v 27.5 2/3, find channels, yellow button - and this stores them in services "other channels".
same fr C4 on frequency 12480.
so you only need a big dish for bbc1,2,3,4, itv2,3,4.

Around here most people are only interested in BBC and ITV and can only get those with 2.4 metre satellite dishes, or through a rebroadcaster. They don’t want to fiddle about with proxy servers, and their PCs, and the rebroadcasters only charge 20 Euros a month for the soaps, football and umpteen film channels.
One rebroadcaster was shut down by the police and the 98,000 subscribers just moved to the one that took his place.
A few people got those ugly, giant dishes, and some are even situated precariously on small terraces, taking up all the space. But at least they all know who killed Archie.

Because a manufacturing fault / problem with the satellite that carries BBC and ITV (astra 2d) has meant that reception is errorneously stronger in the south of Spain than the Costa Blanca....If it was working as it should then the south west of spain (CDS etc) would need a much bigger dish...

Maybe the strong signal down here is by way of a company bonus?

The strong signal in Gib has nothing to do with "gib being "british" so they must allow the signal there...."....
according to reports Astra 2d was built for another company, was damaged in construction hence the side lobe of the signal, ses astra bought it, and used it for one of its UK fleet....

It does not upload traffic.
Also I don't think they deal with the ones beaming Sky.
SES Satellites (Gibraltar) Ltd. inaugurated
a new Earth station in Gibraltar.
Located on the Rock of Gibraltar, the
facility provides TT&C support and
traffic monitoring of SES AMERICOM’s
Satcom C1, which will soon be
positioned at 37.5° West (pending FCC
approval). The Earth station will
continue to support future satellites
deployed into Gibraltar orbital slots.
Along with the Woodbine Earth Station
in Maryland, U.S.A., the facility also has
TT&C responsibility for AAP-1, the
powerful Ku-band satellite covering the
Chinese, Northeast Asian and Indian
regions from its 108.2° East orbital
position. The new Earth station, which
has been constructed with engineering
and technical support from SES ASTRA,
features an 11-metre antenna and
expands the capabilities of the Gibraltar
control centre, which has been in
operation since October 2000.
The dish can be seen on Google Earth at 36° 7'6.85"N 5°20'46.13"W

According to this
http://www.ses.com/ses/PDFs/MediaRoo...NEERING_EN.pdf
SES Americoms satellites are operated from Vernon Valley, New Jersey; Woodbine, Maryland; and Gibraltar - and are used in the Western "area" for mainly US areas, and Asia
Betzdorf operates and provides (some of) the uplinks the SES Astra satellites - for the European areas, including the 3 used for UK TV.
