There's no doubt that many try.....and many fail. But there are success stories too. And I honestly think it comes down to the individual.
If you come here with a plan, and with accredited skills and experience that people actually need, learn the language, and gain a good reputation for what you do then you're on the way.
If however, you come here professing to be every thing to every man, then you're going to be found out very soon.
Basically, if you did OK in Britain, then there's no reason you can't do the same here. And conversely, if you were a knuckle dragging dumbass in Britain then you'll be the same here.
We are who we are.....wherever we are!

It's great isn't it?
It runs from every airport in Britain and beams highly skilled Brits into Spain on a daily basis. All of whom immediately possess a CV full of successful entrepreneurial activity and a multidude of skills ranging from space exploration to taxidermy. But I made the big mistake of coming by car so I'm just stuck doing the same job here that I did for 20+ years back there!
So shut down all the UK universties, colleges etc....forget all about doing your time as a tradesman.....just get a ticket for the Skills Plane! It's a bit like The LoveBoat.....but without the romance and the bald captain!
Hell....if they turned the damn thing around midflight and took them all back to Britain, all the country's financial and social problems could be cured overnight.
