Re: Sing the praises of your area!
Just over 2 years ago we put our house up for sale in London with the idea of moving out to Spain full time. The property market crashed and we couldn't sell whilst the pound fell strongly against the euro. So even if we had got to Spain we would have had an awful lot less money to live on. It was fate.
Tomorrow I have a day off from work. I shall go down to Charlton and pick up my tickets for the play off semi-final against Swindon. I shall get the train back to London Bridge and then walk along the river through Bankside to the Tate Modern. After having lunch at the Tate's members room I will continue along the South Bank to the National Theatre and pick up a £10 ticket to see a matinee. I may even stay in 'town' for the evening a watch an up and coming band play.
I WILL move to Spain one day but I sure as hell will miss living in London.
