Dog friendly
We are off to France In a couple of weeks. We thin k it will take at least 8 to 10 hours to the border from here. (although Tom Tom says much less)
Does anyone know a dog friendly hotel north of Biarritz/Pau?

Don't know specifics but the Campanile motels allow animals in them and they are all over France. At least they did when we drove down in 2001 with our cats.

Not absolutely sure but they may have a limit on the size of dogs so if yours is huge it might be better to check with them.

Stayed in one in France around Christmas. If they've got a size limit I didn't notice. Ours is small but no-one checked.

There's a whole bunch of them beside the motorway at the Bayonne N.turn-off,(adjacent to Biarritz).
Virtually all of them take pets for a small charge.
I normally use the ETAP which is very reasonably priced and easy access.
