Default Setting up a mobile business?

Not sure where to put this thread as I am new. But planning ahead for pocket money, what are the rules on setting up as a mobile hairdresser, would there be a need for it, we are looking to move to the Costa Blanca region of Spain, my husband has a medical pension and is wanting to get somewhere for us to be able to rent a room out or something. I have done hairdressing for a number of years whilst working at the Airport and feel I might get bored not doing anything. We are 40 and 45 years of age.

Hi and a warm welcome to the Spanish forum on BE. Myself and Fred James are the moderators for the Spanish forums whilst BEVS moderates Europe. Moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. This is so that members gain the information that they are looking for and find their experiences on the forums to be friendly and worthwhile.

Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderator who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are usually friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge about the issues of living in Spain. I hope that you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Depends if you wish to join the system.

Most of the mobile hairdressers I know do not, so it's generally word of mouth, local news sheets and bar ads etc. to spread the word.
Probably not make a fortune, but a nice little pocket money cash earner on the side, know what I mean, nod nod, wink wink.

Thanks Dick Dasterdly,

Where would you recommend moving to. We are looking at the Costa Blanca region atm but happy to look elsewhere not too close to the coast?

All depends on your priorities, make a list of them before you start.
If your business is important, best not venture too far inland where Brits are thin on the ground.
Most Spanish stick with their own as far as most services are concerned and if you don't speak the lingo then I would suggest not too far from a little Britain community to kick off with till you get the feel of the place and know your way around.
