Default Setting up a Comunidad de Bienes

I am looking for information about setting up and running a Comunidad de Bienes with 2 partners.

- Is it possible to choose a company name instead of owners’ names/surnames?
- Should both partners make social security contributions?

Can you suggest any gestors who can help to set up a C.B. and accountants?

Thank you.

I have just noticed your post, I suppose you know all you need to by now, but just in case I will tell you my experience with a CB. A CB does not have to be connected to any business, it can be set up by private individuals, and all assets home, fufurniturecars etc are included and you are responsible for each others debts. We set up a CB in 1994, my husband was a sole trader and we wanted the business to be passed onto me and not our son. He was self employed and I was working, I finished work in 2004 but although I am a partner of the CB, I am not employed. the CB has its own CIF. It is not in any way similar to a SL or SA. Get advice on the matter but for us it was ststraightorward.

me me, thank you very much for your reply. More than 2 months ago I posted my question in different forums, but didn't get any answer. Then I purchased a consultation by email at iabogado.com. They answered my questions and I understod that C.B. is not what I want. I came to Spain for another EU country where I am registered as a self-employed person and still paying taxes there, but in my country self-employed persons can choose a business name instead of name/surname. I wanted to move my business to Spain and I was looking for some form of company which is not S.L., but where I can choose a business name. I am not hidding my name/surname, but my business is online business and on my websites I have to publish my company name, bank account number. It doesn't look serious if my company name is my name and surname. Isn't it?

Now I am in the process of setting up a S.L.

Btw, if somebody knows a good and not expensive company which provides accounting services (with possibility to submit all documents by Internet), please let me know.

Thanks.
