I don't know for a fact, but thinking about your proposal in selling a car to someone who isn't properly identified to the Spanish authorities could IMO only lead to you being held responsible. Anytime you sell a car without a trade-in there is a large financial loss. It would be relatively cheap to register it in the UK and keep it yourself. Nowadays with so many dual carriageways there is little disadvantage in driving on the wrong side.

If you want to take your car back and sell it to a LHD specialist there are quite a number in the UK. Some list in Autotrader others in ebay. They will be able to tell you what can and cannot be done

I have looked into this and in fact been in touch with quite a few LHD dealers in UK - had an offer yesterday from one of around 6500€ when I have it advertised for 12,900€ I am negotiable but not by that much !!!!

But as we all know the prices for secondhand cars on the Spanish market are much higher than every other country in Europe. If you are in a hurry to sell it maybe your only option.

Guess what? I had exactly this problem with a UK spec Picasso. Older than yours and petrol. In the end the only sensible decision was to register it in Spain. Like I said, if you try to sell without buying the dealers aren't really interested.
