Self Isolating

It is access to those ingredients that would be simplified by even a single trip the a supermarket to collect a selection of goods.
For example I have looked at the local stores in the area for their online offerings and to be honest it's pathetic. I can order any number of adulterated milks from chocolate to skimmed but finding plain whole milk is nigh on impossible.

I pointed out earlier that I will be staying in a furnished flat not a hotel. In a hotel I would expect to be able to have a cup of tea or a snack as I pleased, however in a furnished flat I would need the ingredients as necessary to cater for myself.

Delivery slots can be an issue. We found difficulty with that. We couldn't get any with main supermarkets but found Iceland very good for our basics.

It wasn't inconvenient delivery slots it was more that there wasn't any slots as all taken. That was with Morrison's and Asda. We didn't struggle for anything. We used home delivery to lessen the burden on our daughter who kept us supplied with weekly shopping. We were in the North East that was in October last year. I see as Fred mentioned it may be taken out of people's hands as government discussing mandatory hotel quarantine. I would also add that as we quarantined in our own home in the uk our neighbours also offered to get anything we needed. In addition in our area local groups in the village also help out mainly for elderly and housebound but would have helped us out if needed. There are plenty of good people in the UK. We only went back to arrange rental of our UK property otherwise we would not have gone back at that time.

The USA is under new management. The UK, unfortunately, isn't.

You can't visit a supermarket so you'll need to sort out an online order but it's very easy to do.

Thanks everyone.
I am not in charge of this accommodation but I am pretty sure it will be a furnished flat and not a hotel, but we will just have to wait and see when it happens which hopefully will be in the very near future.

If all else fails Morrisons has a storefront on Amazon UK and (may, not tried it) allow you to have more control over the delivery date and time.
