Does anyone know of anywhere in the Nerja/Velez Malaga area that sells decent secondhand sofas? There just doesn't seem to be much of a supply and most of the sofas in the Spanish furniture shops we've sat on is like sitting on concrete!

Why dont you start a Buy & Sell page ..were you live.. we have one on Facebook BUY 7 SELL GRAN CANARIA and it has 500 members now.. cars TVs sofas and anything you want ,ask for it..

They are a good idea and there are lots about now along the coast here, there have been a few threads mentioning them lately.

There are some great bargains to be had and they are generally a nice, friendly bunch - you do need to be on facebook though, I think!

The Nerja one has links to a couple of second hand shops in the area and there seems to be loads of sofas on there

When we first came out we, too, went sofa shopping and just could not believe how uncomfortable they were and how ugly they were - I've seen the most horrendous patterned covers in fluorescent lime greens & orange

We ended up buying our Multiyork one from a friend going back to the UK.

Another couple of second hand shops are - Carousel in La Vinuela, owned by a woman called Gilly - might be worth giving her a ring on 630 211 907

There's also a rastro shop run by the Betel organisation in Velez-Malaga down by the wholesale fruit & veg market, they usually have a few in - but, like all second hand places, can be a bit hit and miss!
