Hi
I am moving to Los Alcazares in November. My children are 14 and 7 years, and i am putting both into the spanish state school system. They are aware of this as i have discussed it with them at length and both are happy about the move. My 14 year old has done spanish at school for 3 years and my 7 year old is learning from books, cd's, dvd's and computer games. She is now able to read her spanish books and enjoys learning. I am hoping what they have learnt will help them adjust a little easier than not learning any at all prior to moving over.

San Pedro is between Puerto Banus and Estepona. Fees I think are about 2,500 but that is because he is at the top end of the school. 15 years. Hours 8.45 till 4.15. Dont think it is so long for the little ones. Fees and uniform are halfwhat we were paying in UK, and school is better

I know this is an old thread, but we're still humming and ha-ing about what to do & when re 6 year old's future education. He's in state primary, happy, some minor fairly typical problems being a guidi but doing as well and sometimes better than his Spanish classmates.
It's what to do before he moves up to Instituto? We've looked at St George's & now wonder about others, I know there are many options not least of which is remain in Spanish state system but move nearer Malaga so he can go to a (maybe better?) different place.
Anyway San Pedro came up in discussion, wondered what more anyone can tell us about how they chose that one, results, etc. I got the impression from St George's - which makes some sense but could be influenced by them wanting earlier fees - that moving within a year or so would be best for C, as they'd then have time to improve his currently not brilliant English spelling!
