Supposing I were prepared to believe that the cup used at the last supper might have made it to this church (or any other)...
...were these chalices 'made of agate, gold and onyx and encrusted with precious stones' common in Jerusalem in those days? Would a humble carpenter and his fisherman friends be supping from one of those? Even given that it was passover and therefore a special occasion?

I suppose similar thing was done 800 odd years ago when "they" found the bones of the apostle James in what is know known as Santiago de Compostela. But times have moved on have they not??
