Hi every 1, me ( joanne, 45 ) & my hubby ( stewart, 59 ) are looking to retire to san pedro del pinatar this year. we have sold our house & plan to rent.
we've learnt that planning is everything and we hope that you can help us with good advice particularly regarding health insurance, registering & any good rental agencies.
thank you in advance & look forward to many discussions in the near future.
joanne.

Hi Joanne & Stewart. You have certainly found the right place to ask all you need to know.

This site is certainly an encyclopaedia of knowledge.

You may have to weed out the posters who give blanket answers with no real information.

My OH and myself also intend retiring later this year and living on the Costa Blanca.

Good luck and 'Go for it'

If you ask specific questions then I'm sure someone will be able to help - trying to answer general points is quite hard. Also look at the "Free Beer" sticky thread at the top of this list, it contains loads of useful information about all sorts of things. Anything not covered then come back and ask, there are many who have been through your planned experience and will be able to provide some guidance. Best of luck

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Rosemary
