First house we sold, we came home one night to find that Dixons had put the for sale sign in the next door but ones garden. They were most suprised as they weren't planning on moving, and the service we received for the rest of the time from Dixons lived up to that standard, including financial advice to cash in a long standing endowment policy and take out another through them.

When you've been looking at it for 8 months as we have you get a bit sick of it just put house back on market after a few months and agent has forgot to put it up don't think I'll remind them.

Its just another part of this state of limbo I am in with all thats happened over the last few months and me now being unemployed after handing my notice in. Things are happening that a few months ago would have been unthinkable of course for a good few years yet so its all feeling really alien now, the for sale sign was another part of that is all.

bollocks I was doing so well there..........
yep u was doing great ..

Knock a few quid off the price, or tell her you will decorate to her choice, she might want different colours.

You could also play some soothing music - like 'Sounds of the Peak District volume 56' I'm sure Pete would lend you his if you ask him nicely

Good idea jdr , But taking it one step further , he could say i have reduced the price as it needs doing and will do it in your own choices for say a extra £ 1,000

worth a shot first

One of our houses sold in an hour :curse:

It had been up for sale for about a month, only one sniff.
A guy I did some plumbing work for who worked in an agents said "Have you sold your house yet" not yet, "I will sell that for you easy" yeah right I thought.
"If its not sold by Saturday I will pop round and photo it and put it on our books"
So Sat comes round, I go out to do a little job, come back and said "did Ian call in and photo the house"
"Its sold" she said, "what, your having a laugh"
"No, he took the photo and went, came back about half an hour later with a couple he had just shown another property to, they didn`t like it so he told them another one has just come on the market this morning and showed them ours and they loved it"
