I appreciate your comments, but currently my income is double in Malta to what it would be in Spain, and I am mature so not a 20 year old looking to share houses or similar. It was this particular job that drew me to Spain, but as discussed the salary for what it involves is too low.

Also never had problems with language in Malta !

If the company is a good one then you might be able to 'bargain' with them re your salary, especially if they think you're worth taking on.
As the others have said, €800 is ridiculous; it'd pay the rent and utilities with nothing left.
Re language; many Spanish people go to Malta to learn/improve their English as it's widely spoken together with a great climate.

If they're offering 800 a month I would say you're being a bit exploited there, unless you have other earning potential above the 800 which I guess you may have.

Yes it offers commission but the reality is they could not facts/figures so it's still a risk as in adding up basic living costs and rental, that takes the 800. I have my own business too but not sure if it's suitable for the Spanish market.
