I never had much interest in the sky at night, or Spiderman, or Barcelona football club, until my youngest grandson came on his yearly visits. I remember him asking which of the stars was the North Star and being the wise granddad I pointed to the brightest one in the dark sky.
The next time he arrived at the airport he was wearing a Spiderman top, so off I went and started googling that too. Last year he was raving about Messi, but I didn't have to google that one.
They keep you on your toes.

Well it's not working here. After a few days of warmish weather with the campo nicely drying out I woke up - late - to horrendous rain and a cold wind. Campo is going to be off limits for a while yet.

Perhaps we are lucky here? Or perhaps it is our geographical location?
But every night we have a clear sky the heavens are alive with spectacular views.....

Keep it up Dom and you might develop a pair of wings to match, then you can fly up here and enjoy some sunshine.

I think quite a few of those down south would be better of back in Blighty according to some of their posts regarding the weather and poor old Dom up in the mountains is apparently starting to develop webbed feet.

I don't think I'll swap for Blighty, thanks, after reading headlines that some parts of the UK have been colder than the Arctic!

Actually it's got quite a bit better over the last week - there wasn't even very much disruption to the Semana Santa processions (here, only the last one of Good Friday, actually due to start at 00.55 on Saturday morning, didn't take place) and we had really big crowds, all the bars and restaurants in town were heaving every night. Today had been forecast to be wet, but we just got a brief shower this afternoon. The temperatures have warmed up a lot, during the afternoon of Good Friday it was 26C by lunchtime, and yesterday too.

Been watching a few clips from the UK of farmers digging sheep out of snowdrifts.
Brings back a few less pleasant memories for me, doing likewise.
Hopefully won't be heading back before June, even then snow is not so unusual back at my place.

It has rained all day here. We had some Spanish friends round and wanted to discuss the state of the world, well, the Spanish bit anyway, and all we could speak of was the weather.
The weather and Rajoy, they're PP and I'm not, can't be as an expat anyway. A single malt smoothed the way and they almost convinced me that Rajoy had done nothing wrong, until 2007 a Spanish politician was allowed to accept outside donations.
He quoted a Spanish proverb as he was leaving, roughly translated:
'Don't worry about the old people, worry about the ones that don't get old.'
They're Madrilenos.

Very cold here in the UK. Blue and sunny though. just had friends from Spain staying for few days...they found it too warm indoors. Yesterday I was wandering around the garden and I noticed their bedroom window was open
Should be OK in Spain now the Semana Santa rubbish is over. Always rains for the parading of the craven images...perhaps someone upstairs is trying to tell em summat

The papers have taken glee in telling us it's been the coldest March in 40 years, but the worst part was the totally grey skies. Luckily we've seen a bit of sunshine the last few mornings.
