I have checked on the INSS site re making an appointment to register an S1 for my wife. No matter which option one picks it just comes up in red saying no appointments in next few days. In the past you could choose the office and select an appointment in a few weeks or more. Anyone registered an S1 recently? Or has this procedure also changed?

Hola
I tried a couple of days ago for a friend; I even visited the offices where I found that no-one was allowed to enter, everything had to be done on-line and they gave me the URL to use on a piece of paper. Unfortunately, I couldn't see where to get the correct form and the Doctor dealing with my friend had no success so my friend was told it wouldn't make much difference temporarily "but to do it as soon as possible"

Unfortunately there are precious few indictations of things going that way anytime soon.

Use a gestor. Thay tend to be able to get round the system. In these uncertain times they are worth their weigh in gold.

For anyone wishing to use the CAB link I put on. Once you open the CAB link click on the blue "THIS LINK" it will then open up the application box in the Spanish government site. Seems fairly straight forward .

I have submitted per the link I attached and have attached to it required documentation S1, Padron etc. Got an immediate email saying the submission had been received and passed on to the correct department. I will update as and when we get or hear anything else. Fingers crossed
