Scrub the cookies from your computer every now and then.
I think there's no advantage to booking two tickets together. |
Re: Ryanair article in todays Daily Mirror
I think the next step in cost cutting is going to be that there will be a surcharge if the passengers insist on specifying a destination.

Another good plan .. but is it more expensive to book two single tickets than a return? Given that on a previous thread it was discussed how airlines keep track of your interest in a particular flight by placing a cookie on your computer it is getting very difficult to beat the system :(
Clean all cookies from your computer and keep those you want to keep by downloading this free little tool. The latest version is below. Just watch how much rubbish you clear when you run it first time. Then book as many flights as you like. ;) http://www.ccleaner.com/update/ |
Re: Ryanair article in todays Daily Mirror
This is our fourth year of not flying as neither of us like it. (Ferry - prefeeably Pride of Bilbao - every time for us!).
However I have just booked a flight for my son and his girlfriend (their Christmas and Birthday presents) with Ryanair in March and the price od the flight was £40 return including tax for the two of them. Excelente! By the time I had paid for the check-in of one case and all the other extras it was £100. However, £25 each way is still very good. It costs more than that to go on a train journey from London to Devon! |
Re: Ryanair article in todays Daily Mirror
I always use Ryanair as even when you've totted up all the extras they still work out cheaper than the other low cost airlines :)......I always take hold luggage as I tend to stock up on stuff to bring back, especially kids clothes and my handbag always goes in my hand luggage anyway.

Doesn't seem to work on Macs. (Which I bought recently for the sole reason that PCs keep crashing on me).
And I KNOW it is me. They can sense fear you know. |

Re: Ryanair article in todays Daily Mirror
I wonder when Ryanair will start charging for hand luggage? Don't laugh, if MOL can get a bit more money out of you then he will. When on-line checkin first started you automatically got free priority boarding. Now you have to pay for it.
How many passengers can a 737-800 carry? About 160? Is there space in the overhead lockers for 160 regulation-sized mini suitcases? You heard it hear first. |

There is so not enough room for 160 regulation sized carry on suitcases in the lockers. Perhaps they'll reduce the size of bag allowed. |

I have to say I like the arrangement - this is the second time I have done on-line check in and taken hand luggage only - and it saves any queuing- straight through to passport control. Was not able to do on line for the return from Marrakech and expected to have to pay up for checking in on our return but was not asked for anything. I don't remember paying for the return when we bought the tickets. We have been able to arrive slightly later at the airport too. We did have our hand luggage weighed on our return. Flights have always been on time although I still hate the scramble for a seat and there are always a number who arrive late often with kids so there has to be a re-arrangement - I feel sorry for the cabin staff who have to try and sort this. I still don't understand why they won't allocate seats - easy to deal with it via computer - in fact like others they could make money on it. Carol |

Re: Ryanair article in todays Daily Mirror
Priority booking is pointless in Italy. I feel a bit sorry for all the folks I see that get called out first for priority and then they realise that they get to sit on the airport coach for an extra ten minutes until it fills up with non priority and they all get dumped at the plane steps at the same time so they never actually get onto the plane first at all.

Ryanair £1 to use toilet in the Daily Mail today
You have to laugh. A charge of £1 to use the onboard toilets. I bet they will make sure you can not let another passenger into the toilet after you too. To be honest if it guaranteed a lovely clean and fresh toilet it might be worth it (hehe) Travelling with a child I better start saving more £1's!
We do use this airline and I do not usually complain as you get what you pay for and I agree with the extra charge for more than 1 cabin bag. I prefer Monarch but it costs much more. Charging for the toilet is taking it a bit too far. |

You will always find me in the loo just before I board a flight and straight into one when I get off. :D
