Well it really depends on how you draw it to their attention ......
I hate Ryanair as a company because of that twat who owns it, but to be honest I have never had cause to complain about them at all.
If you take your time with the booking process then there shouldnt be a problem .... its only when you get it wrong that you end up with those excessive charges. I did it the first time I flew with them and it cost me an extra €20, but it was my fault for not reading the site correctly

You cant check in on-line unless you pay an extortionate amount for allocated seating. They get away with it cos everyone is focussed on Ryanair.

Also have you noticed that the Monarch site is far less user friendly - you can feel the sales pressure at several points through the booking process.

I have however flown with Monarch, boarded late and got extra leg room for nowt but that has nothing to do with online sales pressure.

You're missing my point. In order to avoid the long queues, I like to check in online. Monarch will not allow me to do that I unless allocate seating at a cost of £15 per person. At least Ryanair are up front, and tell you what you can do and how much it will cost!

Perhaps they had hold luggage which they paid extra for: I don't think they are fussy as long they manage to get extra money out of you.

Is there a charge to use online check-in?
Online check-in is free to customers who have paid for pre-allocated or extra legroom seats. If you have not already pre-allocated your seats before checking in then you will be asked to do so during the online check-in process. By choosing your seat in advance you can ensure you sit together with family/friends and there is no need to rush at the airport. You can also take the opportunity to upgrade to extra legroom if you wish. Normal seat fees apply

Bottle of wine before take off is more fun J and you will sleep like a log lol
