#1
Hi all, well it's been some time since I visited the site, hope you're all keeping well - Not much good news coming out of Spain at the moment
Anyway, we are going to drive over in the summer for a short break, any tips on the best route ? Will be coming from Calais
Thanks

you will see there is the Western Route or the Eastern Route dependent on where you are heading for
I took my own version of the Western Route last December and also the previous April.
if heading in that direction do all you can to miss out the massive roadworks at Zaragossa

When we moved over here we came Calais through to Valencia and got the route from Via Michelin because they provide details on the tolls as well. The route took us over this http://www.siteselection.com/ssinsid...t/sf050103.htm suspension bridge and it was spectacular.

The Millau bridge certainly is spectacular, you can also pull of to viewing areas at the 'northern' end well worth it if not in a rush!

There is a thread on the journey as far as the Languedoc on the France site. From there it's a pretty straightforward easy drive - M'way A7/A7P all the way past Barcelona and along the coast to Valencia. Did this in reverse last year on my way back from Costa De La Luz!. Overnight stops in Valencia and Clermond Ferrand
