You think we would even dare to organise a resto trip without including your and your lovely BH? ;)

Tonight we are invited to party and will check interest/numbers.. and whatever happens you will have a 10% discount leaflet ( we got one for you + others) ... Even if there is no interest tonight... it looks like you are in so its the 4 of us minimum already! :thumbup: Keep the weekend free (if poss) + will let you know asap as part of the planning process

You are all keeping remarkably quiet about Jags/19 hole. Is there a problem?
What about the golf club? Also picked a rumour that the Isla Canella club is closed too. Any updates?

Hi, CE Golf Club House & Course are still closed, Isla Canella Golf Club is still running but from the Hotel as the Club House is closed. As for Hoya 19 it would be fair to say there are a few 'teething problems' and we hope they will be resolved soon. Regards Bryony

Tried this place last night - food was excellent.
But the ambiance was non-existent (think what it was like before and scale it back several notches!!)
A bit scruffy, very small desert menu - no ice cream, and no coffee. I would go again as the food was very good and the service very friendly.

Spent 2 evenings at hoyo 19 , mainly Spanish and Brits. Clean, fun and good service. Food still needs to be reviewed and improved, but hopefully they will get there! There was a private party enjoying the hospitality one night. Everyone should back this venture because we will loose it if we don't use it!! The summer months with more visitors should make this venue everything it has the potential to be. We are happy that Esuri has another watering hole again.

12 friends sharing a great meal, on a shaded terrace with wonderful views over a blue ocean with a perfect beach spanning 10's of miles.... 15 mins drive away... doesn't get much better than that!

Of course, sorry I should have mentioned it.

We all met at the shop for a drink and get organised for the drive. Then drove to Praia Verde, and had a drink at the wonderful 'cliff top bar' Guarita, on the right hand side of O Infante Panoramico.. looking out to the ocean.

Then on the terrace of Panoramico for the Cataplana.... for a few hours... We couldnt finish the cataplana... big portions. Deeee-licious :)

My BH and one of the group had the 3 steaks - they said it was delicious. Also as a special there was the Maminha (sp) a steak we've recommended before. That we will go back for soon.

Thanks so much, Jon. Unfortunately, we have never been to Praia Verde - we'd be very grateful if you could give us some basic directions from CE as we would love to try out their food during our next visit in September.

Go across the bridge, take 2nd turning signposted Monte Gordo.

(its toll free)

Go down to the roundabout with O Infante resto there... turn left on the 125 following Monte Gordo.

In about 2-300 yards there is a brown sign saying Praia Verde. Go to the end

You wont be upset!!
