Default Replacing the Permiso de Circulacion.

Can anyone offer advice/tips on replacing the Permiso de Circulacion which is necessary to be driving on the roads in Spain.

I have searched everywhere for mine and can,t find it anywhere.

I keep all my car documents together and carry them with me every journey as required so don,t know ow this one document has gone missing.

Fortunately I have a photocopy although I know this is not sufficient should I be stopped by the Guardia Civil or the Police.

Is it just a case of taking it to Trafico in Mlaga to obtain replacement?

Any advice/help before journeying there will be gratefully received.

Thank You.

Yes, take it to whichever branch of Tráfico the car was registered at - a replacement will cost you €18.99 according to this.

Many Thanks for that. It,s a huge help.

Only problem is the download for the form is not functioning so I,ll have to complete it in Trafico.

Thanks again. I knew I could rely on Ex-Pats!!!

I am interested as I am in the same situation, did you obtain the duplicate of the permiso de circulacion last year and if so, what was the procedure?

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Rosemary
