Renting an apartment for a few months - Costa del Sol
We're interested in renting in the Benelmádena area for a few months at a time. Does anyone know of good companies/their websites?
Thanks

So you've just quoted a headline from the Euro Weekly news then without backing it up!
Costa del Sol is a pretty big place, saying you should avoid it at all costs based on 2 incidents in Puerto Banus which happened in the early hours of the morning is a bit strong don't you think? He's only asking about renting in Benalmadena....50km away!

There are 1 million residents in the Costa del sol area and up to another 1-2 million tourists depending on the time of year
The area is very safe as long as you don't deal in drugs or prostitution, although in certain areas best not to walk alone late at night drunk playing on your expensive mobie phone, but you could say that about most of Europe

2 totally unrelated incidents, sadly in this modern world these things happen often and from reading this article involving drink. Most City's in UK have at least one such incident per weekend. Only last weekend in Newcastle there was a murder a shooting and a stabbing, I policed Newcastle for many years it is not a dangerous city, but yes as everywhere there are some drunks that wish to fight. I certainly never feel threatened in Spain but obviously common sense should prevail anywhere, keep your Whits about you if you feel unhappy/unsafe in an area get out if trouble starts move away. I think to say avoid a whole Costa because of such a tabloid entry is extreme to say the least. Good and bad in every walk of life.

You could try Gapp properties, from the people I have spoken to they are very reasonable and can accommodate any length of stay. Welcome to Benalmadena and please don't let any adverse headlines put you off. It's a lovely town full of friendly people.
