Question Relocation Agents

Hi we are new to this forum and this is our first posting.

We are seriously considering moving to spain this year and will be doing our 1st urbanisation visit next week. We are currently using a relocation agent and wondered if anyone else has had any experiences either good or bad? We are considering the Murica area, and my husband is intending on setting up his own business.

We would be grateful for any hints, tips & advice before we go.

We took the plunge and just sold up in the UK last year, what we did was rent for three months and had a good look around, and we found exactly what we were looking for ourselves by searching via the Internet & Estate Agents and local papers, but you do need to have an idea what area you want to live in before you do anything rash.
In my opinion the problem with any relocation companies, or property developing companies, or companies who give you a discount flight and offer to take you around, is that they only show you what they want ,as they are always on some sort of commission.I think it is worth the risk of doing it on your own, these people have been trained to sell, so please be vigilante, good luck and let us know how you get on. :scared:

Hi I was interested in reading the 'flight costs returned' and 'free furniture' sections but i cannot find them. Could you advise?

Their 'Inspection Trip' page is full of typos - I hope this won't put people off using them.

I think the best way is to use these relocation experts to have a look around various area's then as a previous post has said come over and rent in the area of your choice, that way you can live the life and decide if in fact you do like it. (Area and lifestyle etc)
We used one and really hated the area that they took us to, which shall remain nameless, but they were quite good in only showing us the sort of property we were interested in and not what they wanted us to buy.
But good luck in your choices, we have no regrets at all.

Hi they are on the front page , click on "Hot special offers" this company has been operating for 33 years and are very good. No pressure. I have purchased two properties from them without any problems. I hope this helps.
