Thanks, i think we're at cross purposes a little. What i'm getting at is declaring the income from Spain which should tie up nicely with my employers deductions but declaring my UK income (which is nothing to do with any work/employer in Spain) with the HMRC.

Unfortunately unless you have already declared that income in UK then all income ( irrespective of source) becomes subject to Spanish tax
That is the problem you might face by having registered as a Spanish resident and not officially deregistering by telling the hacienda.
