Just thought I'd tell you poor people still in the UK, that there ARE other parts of Spain that aren't quite as hot as the places where mrs jdr, sam parky and rixxy are currently enjoying all that sun!
We live in south west Spain, and although the weather is much nicer than it generally is in the UK, it's still usually only sweatshirt weather in February/early March - so don't despair!
We're lucky in that we do get sun most days, which makes everything so much more cheerful!
This weekend has been warm, and I've been down to my T shirt when walking the dog - or clambering up a mountain and walking 19km like I've just done today!!
The best thing though, is that we can tell that Spring is literally around the corner! Everything is beautifully green, and the flowers in the meadows are just appearing. The almond trees are in blossom, and the cherry trees will follow in a month or so.
There are hundreds of gorgeous little lambs leaping about the place, the cow bells are clanging and the swifts (swallows?) are busy making their nests under all the eaves. Aah!
You'll be glad you've got those lovely summer temps (reaching the mid 20s if you're lucky) when we're flaked out in 45 degrees!! Boy, I hope there's going to be enough water for the village swimming pool to open this year!
To all those people who are currently basking in their bikinis etc - do you have much variety in your temps, or are they fairly consistent year round?
Just interested, as we haven't had the chance to go exploring nationally yet!

Yes i managed to get out to the shops yesterday also , we had about 2 hours of clear skies , but a heck of a cold wind with it ! , I did find a place to have a coffee with a smoking area and at 5.00pm this closed .
