Default Public transport Altea to Oliva

I might end up having to get from Altea to Oliva without a car. I am not willing to pay for a taxi and I will not be in a hurry. Any suggestions? I know I can get a train to Denia, or Gata, but not sure if there's a bus from either of those towns to Oliva. I have googled but couldn't see a regular bus service.

Tried again and found an Alsa bus from Altea to Oliva. Looks ok - has anybody used it?

The nearest you will get to Oliva from Altea by train is Denia I'm afraid. Theres no link as yet anywhere between Gandia and Altea

The Alsa bus service is supposed to be quite good, yes and afaik it runs right through to Oliva. I'm thinking its probably your only option as Gata or Denia to Oliva is a costly taxi fare.

This looks like the Alicante to Valencia service. I haven't used it for some time but was reliable although sometimes late subject to traffic. I don't think all the buses stop at Altea so check the timetable and you may need to buy a ticket on line in advance.
The tourist office in Oliva may have all the info. you need.
