Pronunciation
Anyone help us with pronunciation of certain letters?
In our region of Murcia, the letter Z is pronounced TH, and the letter V as a B. then the X is pronounced as Cha, yet if we go over to say Torrevieja, the Z is pronounced as a Z.
My question is, just how do you know when you are saying words correctly?
Like in the place name, Xativa, now in English (sic) this would be something akin to Zativa, in Murcian it would be Chatiba, just how do you know when you are pronouncing words, place names correctly?

Re: Pronunciation
As I understand it, Murciano is the most bastardised of the Spanish dialects.
And if you attempt to replicate it you'll end up sounding like the equivalent of Julio Geordio from The Fast Show!

Yep we fit right in with that then XTreme! coming from Hull in E. Yorkshire, the city has a very localised accent of bastardised yorskire! so much so that outside of Hull (even only 4 miles down the road)it sometimes is difficult to be understood even by fellow yorkshiremen
