It has now come to the point where it's advantageous to keep your money in a home safe rather than in a bank, that way you don't have to declare it for tax.

Fred the shred has been unknighted.......is there a ceremony that goes with the honour or is it the Sir just never to be used again.

It would be good if there was some sort of reversal ceremony, the Queen giving him a right hook or something....

That would be a novel idea for a website,it could be called "friends unknighted" or something like that.

The unfortunate thing is that he doesn't lose his £650,000 a year pension as well.

Time to change the title, surely, it is the Euro weakening, do you think it will recover, or the greedy PIGS take one last bite of generosity, before declaring themselves, Bankrupt!
Some countries in the EU could be likened to MPs & their expenses. the people who gave out the money where to blame - not sharp eyed, sensible & sufficiently, questioning !
SLOGAN :" Duck ponds & motes, don´t get your votes, only good for Duckies"

Anyone, who has saved his overseas pay to return to Blighty, has seen the cash diminish 20 % (or 20.000 off each 100,000)in 2011. So is there a more stable currency?

It seems a race to the bottom - the Bank of England is going to print more money

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/9...0-billion.html

The Bank's Monetary Policy Committee is set to announce on Thursday that it is expanding its Quantitative Easing programme from £275bn to £325bn.
Several members of MPC signalled at their January meeting that they would vote for a further round of QE this month.
Apparently though we are going to be saved by the Chinese - Mr Osborne has made a deal to make London the trading centre for the Chinese currency. I've no idea how that will affect the pound though

It seems the UK debt is spiralling out of control. Pound is down to 1.19 this morning

UK borrowed twice as much as expected in February

Strangely enough yet again this has allegedly come out of the blue, so what exactly or all these top financial people paid for if they can't even keep an eye on the accounts?

We are constantly told we have to pay top dollar to attract the best people, maybe it's time to give you and I a go!

There is a glimmer of light in the gloom.

However, with only one month of the financial year to go, the government still looks set to beat its borrowing target of £127bn for 2011-12, though not by as much as previously anticipated.

Pound isn't down much, has average 1.19/1.20 for ages. Footsie down though...maybe budget jitters
