Post between Spain & UK?
Any best guesses on how long it takes normal mail between Spain and the UK? Thanks.

It takes a lot longer for post to come from the UK to here ...... we've had stuff after nearly two weeks. Going to the UK it seems to take 2 - 4 days.
Not helped of course by the fact that we only get post once a week, and not at all if its raining

Quickest letter from Spain to UK was about 18 hours but UK to Spain takes a lot longer.
Agree with Mitzy that rain definitely has an effect. Some time last year we had rain for a week and the first dry day our letter box was absolutely brimming over-----surely not a coincidence!!!!!

Also can make a difference if the postman is off sick or on holiday.....round here, no postman no mail. The post waits. I received my Christmas cards from the UK on the 7th Jan, I think the postman was on holiday....or he may have been sick....

Okey dokey ... can't be relying on the post for my business out there then. Although it seems that mail from Spain to the UK is better which is what I would use more than receiving post. Thanks all.

One thing to look out for if posting a package from the UK.
The key is to ensure it qualifies as a "small parcel". If the post-orifice person
asks if there is any written material, such as a letter or card, make sure the
answer is "no". If there is, it won't qualify as a small parcel and they'll charge
you about twice the postage rate. This happened to me last December.
Fortunately, there's no way the P.O. can tell if you're telling the truth

Beloved received a birthday card this morning which we know was posted on the morning of the 5th.
It caused some amusement as it is clearly stamped "Missent via Malaysia"
