Rooting Powder, JDR what's it called in Spanish I have been looking for it for weeks but have no idea what I am actually looking for. You can tell I'm desperate to keep my cuttings alive can't you, I expect when I am an old hand at it like you I too will be mean and rough.

I have never seen it here but I am sure they would stock it in the garden centre with pics on the container, maybe "polvo de raiz" or similar )

    for Christmas I will buy you a chocolate orange (don't tell JDR as he will want one as well). I will have to find a bigger piece of paper as that's a lot more than polvo de raiz to write down.

I bought some recently in Leroy Merlin in San Fernando. It is made by Compo and is called 'Hormonas de Enraizamiento Rootone F' I have also seen something similar in liquid from. I think they sell it in Avilla as well. I am hoping it will help my cuttings to take, not had much luck so far. Yvonne |

Re: Plants in Spain??
Been in Carrefour this morning, they have 3 english books on gardening in Sapin, on general and separate ones for fruit and vegetables. Most of the English language newspapers also have gardening sections, might be worth having a look at some on line

I´ll take your word for it. But if it doesn´t magically turn green again I am holding you responsible for the delay in its burial and passage to plant heaven.
Incidentally, what are the most indestructable plants know to man? Indoor and outdoor. I´ll go and stock up. |
