I think it was La Carroja or Alpatro
Wow!
Thanks for those wonderful pictures. It is half term and cold in Yorkshire at the moment although it has been sunny. Those pictures reassure me that we made the right decision buying a holiday home in Spain as the scenary is just as wonderful as England (but obviously in it's own way)
What are those little white things that go all the way up the hillside above the village? Path markers or something?

I shall be zigzagging up and down the vall de laguart this weekend, the walk of 500 steps!

It's the 9th annual walk to the 'Barranc de l'infern', it's 5000 not 500 steps. It starts at the school in Fleix from about 8 until 9.30ish on Sunday 28th. They reckon it's a 7 hour walk. You have until 25th October to pay the fees (15€ each). This includes a t shirt & hat, a ticket for a giant puchero at 3pm and obviously pays for the marshalls etc. It's a good walk, 4th year running I'll be going

From: Up in the mountains outside Cocentaina..and loving it!

Yes, I recognised it! Terry and I sat in that very square when we were out in Januray and had a coffee in the sunshine. We were in short sleeved tops and slacks and the locals were dressed up in fur coats! I am sure we will end up like that when we eventually move out there!
I thought the zig zag path was Bocairent, as there is one the same there. I've attatched a photo.
