Planes
No, not those flying thingies
I'm taking a drive out to Planes tomorrow as its supposed to be beautiful around there ........ somewhere called Hells Ravine, up at the end of Valle de Gallinera valley, west of Pedregeur / Pego somewhere (Costa Blanca Nth)
Anywhere been up that way ... places of interest to see?

Hello all
Well ....... anyone who has the chance should take the drive through Valle De Gallinera from Pego past Adsubia via the CV700 through to Planes. The road is pretty twisty but snakes through the mountains following the river bed. I believe the first part past Adsubia is called Hells Ravine, and it certainly looked as if it had taken a pounding in the recent storms. Some lovely views and theres a couple of pretty villages on the way ... Planes itself is nice. We went on through Muro to Alcoy. Liked the look of Alcoy although of course it was closed ... they had an Octoberfest yesterday apparantly and I think everyone was hung over. Must go back on a weekday. Beautiful architecture and some pretty squares where we would have had coffee had anywhere been open.
I did take some pics but I'll download them tomorrow

A few pics, although I seem to have a problem with my camera as some nice french bloke knocked it off my baggage onto the floor in a hotel in France on the way back down here ... so they are a bit iffy

Thanks for putting the photo's on. Highlights another area for us to visit. Did you walk up the zig-zag path to the top or did you chicken out?

Wow!
Thanks for those wonderful pictures. It is half term and cold in Yorkshire at the moment although it has been sunny. Those pictures reassure me that we made the right decision buying a holiday home in Spain as the scenary is just as wonderful as England (but obviously in it's own way)
What are those little white things that go all the way up the hillside above the village? Path markers or something?
