Re: phonetic alphabet
Why have a go at me? All I done was convert the PDF into a word doc as lynnxa said they wanted to do. We are not just talking military things here are we? There are many forms of phonetic alphabets.
Besides the Spanish NATO forces use the same as any other country.

Re: phonetic alphabet
Calm down
What I would like to do is accurately convey my email address which is part English @ telefonica to a lady in an office in Cadiz.
This office first informed me that they only communicate by letter. To speed the process up I hand delivered my letter to them four weeks ago.
Today they offered to fax me when the documents are ready.
I don't know anybody old enough to remember what a fax is.
Therefore I was hoping she might admit that they have email facilities and I am trying to make sure gets my email address right first time.
However I feel that another trip to collect said documents will have to be undertaken.
Or wait four more weeks for the mail.

Fred,
Faxs are used a lot here in Spain, we still get faxes being sent to us for publicity. We some times have to use a fax to confirm a reservation with the official government body for tourism here in Galicia, they too do not seem to ahve heard of email.
It could be beacuse internet connections are either slow or impossible in some locations in Spian.
This is way of subject but have you ever seen the lonely typewriter sitting in the corner of an office? We have seen them used too!
Good luck with your quest

Re: phonetic alphabet
I rang round all my friends and no one could come up with a fax I could use in Spain.
I do have use of one in Gibraltar,
but as I am dealing with a Spanish Government department I decided not to do so.

Re: phonetic alphabet
Apparently, according to Spanish friends, a few tax or bank forms can only be completed using an old fashioned typewriter thats why you will see them in most offices.

Are you looking for something like this?

Very Spanish, not international, but used by Telefonica.
