Hi pc guy (and anyone who may be interested).
Re your article on proxy servers, question-how do I disable a proxy server?. Also, I am on Wipzona, do you think a proxy server will cause any problems (my Skype goes through them). If I wanted to receive tv from 3 countries would I have to have a proxy in each one And keep switching between them?.
Thanks, tuk-tuk

Hi

Yup. Sorry. I missed this one....

You normally configure proxies via your router (cannot be more precise as each routrer is different!) or via windows IE options , connections, LAN, (i think) if you have a modem.

It should not matter who you use as your main internet conecction.

Yes. If you want to watch TV directly from the countrieds "iplayer" then you will need to have a proxy for each country.

So, if you want to use Zattoo for example (i think you have to pay for it now!) to watch US, UK and French TV when in Spain, you will need a US, a UK and a French proxy server in those countries.

Same with VPNs (like "official" proxy servers!), if you want to watch USA TV you will need a VPN with servers in the USA....

Hi,
Didn't see the article of the guy but came across the subject of using a proxy to download music.
I only use the proxy when I need it so it is not configured in PC settings, is that of any help?
