OK what's in store??
We go to Murcia on Thurs for a few days - just been on W-underground, it's forecasting 30mph winds from Sat till Mon - is the place under storm alert??
It'll play havoc with my tee shots!!

The forecasts on that site looks seriously wrong!
They are forecasting a daytime temp of 10c and the same at night when all the other forecasts are giving nearer 17c during the day.
As for winds, yes there is going to be a strong Levanter blowing and it could reach 30mph especially on the coast.
The Spanish Met Office 7 day forecasts are here

Which one do you think is more accurate? We're over next week hence the interest.

Thanks guys - looks like the wind will only be 15 - 20 mph instaed of 25 - 30, that should mean I find a few more fairways!
Seems to be a northeasterly? I take it thats straight off the Alps - bright & chilly would seem to be the packing requirements - looks like I'll be leaving the thong at home again.

I subscribe to Metcheck they are very accurate and rely on numerous sources rather than just one.
They are forecasting a max temp of 13 degrees and a minimum of only 1 degree for tomorrow.
The Spanish Met Office give a max of 20 and a min of 7.
These "global" forecasts are a load of rubbish. They do not rely on "numerous" sources - they just download the freely available data from either the US (NOAA) or the UK Met Office and shove it into their computers and generate "forecasts" for one million locations around the globe.
Even the UK Met Office, who generate similar local forecasts without human intervention, are on record as saying that they are more likely to be wrong than right.
They take no account of local geographic conditions. For example the site quoted earlier "Weatherforecast.com" gives a minimum temp for Granada all week of around 12 - 13 degrees. Anyone who lives there would know that it is very close to freezing every night at this time of year - the fact that Granada is 800m above sea level is not taken into account in these "forecasts".
I am not impressed by the Spanish Met Office forecasts but they are probably the best you are going to get - the daily forecast is here

If you are interested in the coastal forecasts then try here

If you want good forecast data it is available but you will need a good understanding of basic meteorology to interpret it. Computer generated long range forecasts are generally unreliable.

LB should be on his way to Spain now - hope it doesn't get so windy that it blows his balls away
