The Spanish have their share, but I wouldn't expect you to tell us about them.
Franchute, gabacho are used a lot for the French, sudaca, poni(because of their stature) for South Americans etc. Even the Spanish immigrants, especially andalucians, in Cataluña are charnegos, not exactly a term of endearment. Catalans are catalufos, and so it goes on.

Doesn`t bother me in the slightest and never has - called it loads of times. Ive been called wop and spik too - I always thought these were Italians though.

I think the planet is becoming too sanitised. Billions of people cannot live together in perfect harmony. There are only so many eggshells that we can tread upon lightly. People are different, either through ethnicity or religion - the twains cannot ever meet. It is not in human nature, (there is always rivalry either friendly or nasty) - but it could be in another billion years through evolution if the planet is still around then.

Isn`t Sue young and pretty! I`ve never seen her pic before now - I expected her to be wizened and old with big warts and no teeth, holding a whip and a rolling pin!!!

What an interesting thread this has turned out to be. Some years ago, I was in east Germany, just after the re-unification. The east German derogatory word for English people is Insel Affen, island apes.

I was called it several times and wasn't offended because it meant nothing to a person from the UK. It really frustrated the name callers, to them it was the worst thing you could call a foreigner, but if the foreigner just laughed it drove them mad.

Maybe it's the best way to deal with insults,
