Back again and you are saying ; Javea is perhaps the most upmarket area along the Costa Blanca?;
thus two people with differing views of the same series of events. I lived there albeit for some ten months. I absolutely disagree. It is an enclave.
But you redress the situation in ;Having said that the market there is still overpriced.;
In today's market and here for balance I would not buy again either in France or Spain and I have 35 years experience of France. The market needs to settle.
In La Guardia Park where we lived there was a villa opposite which was and is still owned by Sabadell in Javea. When the knife was threatened the owner literally ransacked the villa. It is now a shell. Sabadell want 400,000 for it and they will not move on price. I know I tried.
Hence now back in France at our long established home and waiting for what Hollande is doing next.

it's all down to what you want and what you like, for me Javea has far too many apartments now, lots of pre slump building in the town, arenal beach makeover has worked well and looks good but for me Moraira and El Portet are much better, but as I say that's for me, each will have there own view and that what makes like so interesting

Love the Benissa coast, it's always such a stark reminder of the difference between local councils, when you leave Calpe to go along the coast road the difference of what you enter on the Bennisa side to what you have left behind is so stark, as to the Villa can't say it springs to mind, have walked along all of the coast it's possible too but can't recall

We may have to start looking further afield.
Thank you - All.

No I'm asking about the market in general rather than what peoples' individual preferences are. Or put it another way, where along the costa blanca are you going to pay most, on average, for a villa with pool? (what the op was asking about). I know that Javea has scruffy areas, such as around Javea Park behind the Arenal, and I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I'm talking about the market in general.

As for the villa, all that you need to look for is a pair of gates and a drive on the right hand side as you drive towards Moraira, if my memory serves it was sold for circa £2 million in the 1980's.
