Default Non Residency Management Fee

I have again received a charge from my bank shown as 'Non Residency Management Fee' at Euros 36.30 for myself and each of my two childrenwho share the bank account.
If I spoke good Spanish I would certainly ask the bank (Bankinter) what we are paying this for .....ie What 'Management' do they carry out ? We already complete a Spanish Taxation Form and try to conform to all regulations
Would one of you kind people be able to enlighten us please ?

If you already fill in a Spanish tax form, is that because you are tax resident or because you are filling in form 210 to pay non-resident tax? If tax resident, then change your account to the correct one and you won't pay that fee.

The banks need to get a certificate from the tax office to show that you (and all people named on the account) are actually non-resident. This is what that charge is for I suspect. It's a legal requirement.

Yes we get the same I think it is every 2 years it has to be done. I believe you can do it yourself but no idea how. Our bank send the forms completed for our signature to our UK address we then sign and either post them back or take them into the bank when over. The bank then submit them to wherever they have to go. I think we pay 30 Euros each every 2 years.

Thank you both for making the time to respond.
We are all in fact non- residents.
The explanations you have given make sense although I thought that the non residence tax forms and payment sort of make the same point.
I suppose we'll have to pay up and smile.
Thanks again..
