Just a quick one regarding my NIE number, when i came to Spain i went to Malaga police station and filled all my forms out for my NIE number.

I was told to go back in a week and collect them, however i had to leave back for england and as far as i know they are still there.

We wont be going back until Jan07 when we move out there, however does anyone know if i will have to apply again or will the numbers still be there.

I'm pretty certain they'll still be there..........the NIE is like your NI number in the UK.....you get one for life

You get one for life, however its prime use is as a Tax and money tracker, you basically cant do much without it!. We had a similar problem with our residencia, did all the work and didnt go back to collect for 14 Months, no problem it was in the box and patiently waiting at the Commissaria.

Don't worry it will still be there
