Default NIE

Hello everyone.

I realise that there have probably been millions of these questions so, apologies first. Is it possible for me to get my wifes' NIE for her and does my son (18 months) require one?

Thanks for any help.

You dont need to apply for an NIE in person.
I doubt its going to be necessary right now for your son, but some schools do insist on an NIE to be able to enroll
